Depreciation is pro-rated monthly from the month of acquisition. Net book value never falls below residual value. The register is linked to a Google Sheets backend — it loads the latest data when opened and saves every change automatically (see ☁ Cloud sync for status). JSON backups remain available as an extra safeguard.
